Terms of use

This page covers use of this website. It is not the agreement you signed. That agreement is the consent form you signed on paper and kept a copy of, and it is the document that governs your recordings and what may be done with them. If you have lost your copy, ask Sagar Data and Assets Ltd. (UK) at [email protected] for another.

Who this site is for

This site is for people who were invited to take part in the research and given an access code. It is not open to the public, there is no way to sign up, and there is nothing here to use without a code.

Your access code

Your access code stands for you. Every recording you make is filed under the participant number it belongs to, and nothing else identifies it. So do not share your access code, and do not use somebody else's — a recording made under the wrong code is filed under the wrong person, and there is no way to tell afterwards.

Nobody from the research will ever ask you for your access code by email or by phone. If you think somebody else has yours, tell the agency at the address above.

What to record

Record your own voice, answering the question shown on the screen. Do not record anybody else, and do not upload audio of anybody else — they did not agree to take part, and nothing you agree to can cover them.

Please also avoid saying other people's full names, addresses or phone numbers in your answers.

Do not upload anything that is not an answer to the question asked. The recordings become training material for speech recognition, and anything else in the collection is either useless or has to be found and removed by hand.

When the site does not work

This is a research tool, not a service you are buying. It may be slow, unavailable, or interrupted, and a recording may fail to send on a weak connection. The app keeps a recording on your phone until it has been received, and sends it again the next time it can, so a failure usually costs you a wait rather than the answer.

The site is provided as it is, without any warranty.

Who owns what

The recordings belong to the research — to Sagar Data and Assets Ltd. (UK) — on the terms of the consent form you signed. What may be done with them is described there, not here.

The software running this site is separate work, © 2026 Adam Marshall. All rights are reserved. That covers the software only, and gives nobody any right to the recordings.

Who to write to

If the site itself is not working — the page will not load, your access code is refused, or a recording will not send — write to [email protected].

Questions about your recordings and your data, including asking for them to be deleted, go to the agency at [email protected]. Quote your participant number — the code shown on your screen, like G003_047 — and never your access code.

What the software collects, and for how long it keeps it, is on the privacy page.

Changes to these terms

If how the site works changes, this page changes with it. It describes the site as it is today, not as it is intended to be. Changing this page does not change the consent form you signed, which only the agency can revise and only with you.
